Specialist Vegetable Machinery Service Technician

We are currently looking for an experienced Vegetable Service Technician to join the established team at our Sutterton branch, based in Lincolnshire.

Role Purpose:

Reporting directly to the Specialist Vegetable Machinery Service Manager, your role will be to repair and maintain vegetable (but not limited to) equipment that is sold by the Company’s sales departments within its designated area.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Proven experience within the agricultural industry would be advantageous
  • Ability to diagnose faults and successfully carry out repairs which may be chargeable or warrantable
  • Service, maintain and diagnose faults on Tong grading, cleaning and box handling equipment
  • Installation of new vegetable processing lines and modification of existing lines to include fabrication of guards etc.
  • Complete in full the job cards relating to work undertaken including machine detail, time and mileage and any accompanying documentation
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers as required
  • Has the ability to work alone using your own initiative and as part of a team
  • Ability to adhere to health and safety practice and procedures at all times
  • Maintain a good general level of health and fitness
  • Self-motivated
  • Good general appearance
  • Competent in the use of computers
  • Excellent customer service skills as this is a customer facing role
  • Valid driving licence with no more than 3 points

Additional Information

  • Start Date:
    Immediate, but subject to successful candidates notice period
  • Hours:
    39 hours per week - 8am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm Friday (1 hour unpaid lunch)
  • Salary:
    £Competitive, depending on experience plus company vehicle
  • Benefits:
