Horticultural Service Technician

We are currently looking for a Horticultural Service Technician to support and join the existing team at our Colchester branch, based in Essex.

Role Purpose:

Reporting directly to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of all equipment associated with Horticultural machinery that is sold by the company’s sales departments.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Knowledge of Domestic or Professional Grass Machinery and how it functions is advantageous
  • Repair and maintain equipment for customers associated with Horticultural machinery
  • Diagnose faults and successfully carry out repairs and service work
  • Good knowledge of Utility, Garden or small Agricultural machinery
  • Ability to diagnose hydraulic and electrical faults using the latest software
  • Have the ability to work alone using own initiative and as part of a team
  • Heavy lifting but apply common sense to items that require assistance
  • Good communication skills
  • Competent in the use of computers
  • Excellent customer service skills both face to face and over the telephone
  • Be self-motivated

Additional Information

  • Start Date:
    April 2025, but subject to successful candidates notice period
  • Hours:
    39 hours per week - 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8:30am to 4pm Friday (30-minute unpaid lunch) Overtime paid at time and a half on completion of 39 hours Monday to Friday
  • Salary:
    £Competitive, dependent upon experience
  • Benefits:
