Service Advisor

Role Purpose:

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the efficient running of the Service office and its overall profitability.  You will also be assisting in maintaining effective and accurate communication between customers and technicians in relation to the repair and maintenance of Agricultural and Horticultural machinery.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Familiar with raising job cards and invoices as required
  • Efficient completion of service department admin duties (Time sheets, job cards, warranty
  • admin)
  • Manage existing customer accounts and build new relationships with customers and be able to
  • deal with a wide range of customers expectations.
  • Experience within a service department is advantageous
  • Experience within the Horticultural, Agricultural or automotive industry
  • Provide a superior level of customer service
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to deal diplomatically with customers and
  • colleagues in a polite and professional manner
  • Good keyboard and PC skills, along with knowledge of Microsoft office to include Word and
  • Excel
  • Be able to show energy and enthusiasm to engage with customers
  • Be flexible to work in an office/workshop environment and be a team player
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of the business
  • Act with discretion when dealing with matters of a confidential nature
  • Be organized with the ability to multitask efficiently
  • Be self-motivated with the ability to work well with others
  • Be confident and show initiative
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers and handling of cash
  • Professional and tidy appearance

Additional Information

  • Start Date:
    Immediate, but subject to successful candidate’s notice period.
  • Hours:
    42.5 hours per week between 8am and 5:30pm Monday to Friday (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
  • Salary:
    £Competitive, dependent on experience
