Service Technician/Demonstrator

We are currently looking for an experienced Service Technician/Demonstrator to join the established Specialist Veg team at our Sutterton branch, based in Lincolnshire.

Role Purpose:

To repair and maintain all equipment associated with Specialist Vegetable machinery (but not limited to) that is sold by the company’s sales departments and to assist with sales and demonstrations.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Proven experience within the agricultural industry would be advantageous
  • Ability to diagnose faults and successfully carry out repairs which may be chargeable or warrantable
  • To support a range of vegetable harvesting and processing equipment including Samon, Verhoest and Agriplanter
  • Ability to demonstrate key functions and benefits in a professional manner for machinery mentioned above.
  • Complete in full the job cards relating to work undertaken including machine detail, time and mileage and any accompanying documentation
  • Identify opportunities and build new relationships with sales staff and customers
  • Has the ability to work alone using your own initiative and as part of a team
  • Ability to adhere to health and safety practice and procedures at all times
  • Maintain a good general level of health and fitness
  • Self-motivated
  • Good general appearance
  • Competent in the use of computers
  • Excellent customer service skills as this is a customer facing role
  • Valid driving license

Additional Information

  • Start Date:
    Immediate, but subject to successful candidates notice period
  • Hours:
    39 hours per week - 8am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm Friday (1 hour unpaid lunch) Overtime paid at time and a half on completion of 39hrs Monday to Friday
  • Salary:
    £Competitive, depending on experience plus company vehicle
  • Benefits:
