Specialist Vegetable Electrical Technician

We are currently looking for an experienced Specialist Vegetable Electrical Technician to join the established team at our Sutterton branch, based in Lincolnshire.

Role Purpose:

To repair and maintain all equipment associated with Specialist Vegetable machinery (but not limited to) that is sold by the company’s sales departments.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • A proven Industrial electrical experience is essential
  • A working knowledge of 3 phase inverter drive experience
  • City & Guilds Level 3 certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations
  • Diagnose faults and successfully carry out repairs which may be chargeable, warrantable or internal type jobs
  • Diagnose and repair faults with inverter, TASC and DC motor speed control systems
  • Design, install and maintain Omron PLC machine control systems and produce drawings for reference
  • Lifting of heavy machinery, applying common sense to items that require the assistance of special tools
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers as required
  • Complete in full the job cards relating to work undertaken including machine detail, time and mileage and any accompanying documentation such as PDI sheets, Delivery forms and Photo’s as necessary
  • Attend training courses as required by the company to maintain satisfactory levels of compliance and understanding
  • Excellent people skills and enjoy working with the general public
  • Enjoy working in a busy atmosphere and can cope under pressure during busy periods
  • Able to work alone and on your own initiative
  • Maintain a good general level of health and fitness
  • Good general appearance
  • Excellent customer service skills as this is a customer facing role
  • Full driver’s licence

Additional Information

  • Start Date:
    Immediate, but subject to successful candidates notice period
  • Hours:
    39 hours per week - 8am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm Friday (1 hour unpaid lunch)
  • Salary :
    £Competitive, depending on experience plus company vehicle
  • Benefits:
